What We Pressure Clean

Block-paved driveways are our most common job, and the transformation is usually dramatic. We cover concrete drives, tarmac (with care — high pressure can lift it, so we use a softer wash), Indian sandstone, porcelain, slate, granite, riven flag, exposed aggregate, brick paths, decking timber, composite decking, garden walls, garden steps, conservatory roofs, uPVC fascias and soffits, and exterior render where appropriate.

For driveways and patios we use a rotating surface cleaner attachment rather than a wand. This gives an even finish across the whole surface, prevents the striping you see on poorly-done jobs, and is far quicker so you pay less.

Re-Sanding & Sealing

Pressure washing on its own removes the jointing sand from a block-paved drive, which then needs replacing or weeds come straight back through. We re-sand the joints with kiln-dried sand and brush in until full. For an extra fee we can also apply a coloured re-sand or a polymeric jointing compound for longer-lasting weed prevention.

On Indian sandstone, slate and porcelain patios we offer a sealer treatment after washing, which keeps the colour rich and stops the surface looking grey again within a year. Sealing is optional — we will explain the costs and benefits and let you choose.

Soft Wash for Roofs & Render

Some surfaces should not be pressure-washed at full power — concrete roof tiles, lime-render, sandstone walls and older roof tiles can be damaged. For these we use a soft-wash chemical treatment that kills moss, algae and lichen at the root and gradually rinses clean with the next few rainfalls. It is gentler, safer and longer-lasting.

Pricing & Booking

We charge by the square metre with no hidden extras and give a fixed price after a free site visit. Most family driveways come in between £150 and £350 depending on size, condition and whether re-sanding is included. Bookings are typically two to three weeks ahead in summer and one to two weeks in spring and autumn.

4. The work. We arrive on the agreed day in the agreed time slot. We dust-sheet floors, protect skirting and furniture, and work tidily. We keep you informed if anything changes.

5. Completion and payment. When the job is finished we walk you through it, hand over any guarantees or certificates and take payment. Card, bank transfer or cash all welcome.
